New Delhi, Dec 6 (GCCurrentAffairs) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said the encounter of four accused in the gruesome gang-rape and murder case of a 26-year-old veterinarian in Hyderabad, has brought satisfaction and happiness among the people, but the loss of confidence of the people in law and order of the country is a matter of concern.
‘People are expressing happiness and satisfaction over the Hyderabad encounter. It is also something to be worried about, the way people have lost their faith in the criminal justice system. Together all the governments will have to take action on how to strengthen criminal justice system, so that people start believing in system again and every victim can get justice soon,’ Mr Kejriwal told reporters.
The accused were killed in an encounter in the wee hours of Friday between 0300 to 0600 hrs when they were taken to the same spot for recreation of the crime scene by the police.
However, the four, in a bid to flee, tried to attack and run away to which the police team had to return fire in self defence.
