IAC To Hold Dharnas Before MLAs Houses

India Against Corruption (IAC) has threatened to hold dharnas before the houses of MLAs including ministers who reportedly have undeclared money stashed in overseas banks.

IAC activist Kamlesh Bandekar revealed that Chief Minister Digambar Kamat had promised to write a letter to all his ministers and MLAs within the next two days asking them to clarify whether they have any overseas accounts.

Bandekar said that if the ministers and MLAs fail to reply to the letter, IAC will hold dharnas at their residence till they actually clarify their positions.

The chief minister’s assurance was given to a delegation of IAC following a dharna held at the official residence of the chief minister and after Melisa Simoes, convenor of Youth For Goa demanded his clarification on the report of he along with other MLAs having cash stashed in foreign banks.

Meanwhile, ‘Art Attack’ a demonstration by prominent artistes from Goa was held in Panjim with artistes like Alexyz, Vishnu Surya Wagh, Pundalik Naik, Subodh Kerkar, Harshada Kerkar, Sachin Naik and Sonia Rodrigues participating.
