Puducherry: Puducherry Welfare minister M Kandasamy, who is on an indefinite dharna inside the assembly premises for the past 10 days to press his demands, has shifted the venue near the Raj Nivas on Tuesday.
Mr Kandasamy told news persons that he had been requesting an appointment with Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi to discuss certain issues pertaining to his departments. As the appointment was not given so far and and to condemn this, he is continuing his indefinite dharna near the Raj Nivas.
The Minister began his dharna on the portico of the legislative assembly on the evening of January 10 demanding that Dr Bedi should give approval to the files pending with her.
However, in response to a letter from Mr Kandasamy on Monday, the Lt Governor had clarified that no file pertaining to his department is pending with the Raj Nivas and the Minister could approach the Chief Secretary to get the relevant information he required
