New Delhi: India’s contagion tally surpassed 10.3 lakh-mark on Saturday after the nation recorded 34884 infections in the past 24 hours, the Health Ministry update said here on Saturday.
The total confirmed cases now stand at 1038716, as per the government data.
Pandemic deaths have now reached 26273 across the country, after 671 more lives were claimed by the lethal virus since Friday.
On the brighter side, with the improving recovery rate, number of cured and discharged cases have now increased to 653751 pan India, the government data showed.
The cases at present under active medical supervision in the country stand at 358692, while the difference between the active cases and recoveries has been increasing on the positive side.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,34,33,742 samples have been tested for COVID as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) till Friday.
