New Delhi: India has registered around 58 k COVID recoveries during the past 24 hours, highest in a day so far, taking the recovery rate to 73.18 per cent.
The active cases have also witnessed a reduction of 3,734.
As per the Union Health Ministry update, 5,7937 COVID patients had recovered in the past one day and the total number of such cases has now reached 19,77,779.
The active case load on the country, which has further reduced a little, stood at 6,73,166, as on Tuesday morning.
There has been a decrease in the active cases witnessed across 16 states in the country wherein Maharashtra, Bihar and Andhra are at top three spots.
On the brighter side, the recoveries have exceeded the active cases by 13,04,613 in total as of now.
Meanwhile, India’s overall contagion tally on Tuesday reached 27,02,743 so far, after addition of 55,079 new cases since Monday.
Deaths due to pandemic in the past 24 hours were 876 , taking the total number till date to 51,797 and the death rate stood at 1.92 per cent.
