If rumor mills in the Congress High Command in New Delhi are to be believed then Aldona MLA Dayanand Narvekar is to be suspended for his open tirades against the current Congress government in Goa in the recently concluded assembly session.
Highly placed sources at the Congress High Command, have indicated that Dayanand Narvekar is to be suspended and further action initiated thereafter.
Narvekar had on various issues openly criticized the government and exposed their rampant corruptions. At one instance the MLA even adjourned the house on the issue of the Mapusa Hospital for the irregularities of the PPP Model which was been floated by the Health Minister.
Commenting on his stance Narvekar, said: “At the end of the day my actions were in the best interest of the people of Goa and a government needs to remember its people; and not be the cause of suffering for the people”.
Denying any discussion on stand on this front, Subhash Shirodkar, president, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, said: “We have not heard of any instruction so far from the High Command so far on this issue. We are aware of Narvekar’s concerns and we will address his concerns accordingly.”
