Puducherry: Former chief minister V Narayanasamy on Friday asked whether the government in the UT was under the control of Chief Minister N Rangasamy.
Talking to newspersons, Narayanasmay said due to the apprehension of a third wave of coronavirus, he along with several organizations and political parties had urged the government not to reopen the schools and colleges here. However, Mr Rangasmay announced the reopening of schools and colleges here from July 16.
However, Education ministry which is under Namasivayam (BJP) and he after a meeting with the Lt Governor announced against the decision of the chief minister that schools and colleges will not be opened as the threat from COVID is still very much there.
The announcement of the chief minister is final,Narayanasamy said, adding that,” with this a question whether the government is under the control of the chief minister arises.Bypassing the order of a chief minister makes one think whether it is Rangasmay government or BJP government here.”
