New Delhi: Dispelling speculations over joining BJP, former Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat of the Congress in an exclusive WhatsApp chat with GoaChronicle.com Founder & Editor-in-Chief Savio Rodrigues has categorically stated that ‘It is a planted story and I am not joining BJP’.
Goa and Delhi experienced shock waves this afternoon when news spread like wildfire that the former BJP leader who had joined the Congress in 2007 was likely to do a ‘Ghar Wapsi’ and was likely to be donning the CM mantle. This information however, no remains as misinformation as the political leader himself has categorically stated that he is not joining BJP.
BJP is currently in talks with its MLAs and allies to find an able stand-in for the ailing current Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is currently very critical.
The BJP Core Committee is not in favour of any non-BJP political leader joining the party and taking over the reigns of the Chief Minister of the state, they prefer a leader from within the MLAs or party.[contact-form][contact-field label=”Name” type=”name” required=”true” /][contact-field label=”Email” type=”email” required=”true” /][contact-field label=”Website” type=”url” /][contact-field label=”Message” type=”textarea” /][/contact-form]
