With the installation of SDCT software in State’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), the entire schooling cycle will be online current academic year onwards. This software will feed the entire data of the student and he/she will be provided with a unique identity number, which will be his identity throughout the course. There will be no possibility for and forgery or cheating.
The software which is developed by N E Technologies Private Limited, Verna; is likely to be purchased by Info Tech Corporation Goa (ITG). This will help the ITI system to be more efficient.
State Department of Craftsman Training sources stated that the firm has already shown a demo of the software and formal contract commissioning it in the system would be signed shortly.
The software will have the entire data of the student right from the admission in the institute till he passes out and necessary updates will be done as and when necessary. It will keep the record of the students in form of attendance, internal marks, exam hall ticket, mark-sheet and others.
When contacted, NE Technologies’ Vice President (Finance) Sanjiv Nadkarni said that the data will be fed in right at the time of admission so that a merit list is generated. “As the data will be stored in the form of centralized system, it will be easier for the student to apply in places where vacancies exist”, he added.
There are 10 government ITIs and four private Industrial Training Centers (ITC) in Goa which have been set up under the Craftsmen Training Scheme affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi.
