New Delhi, Dec 27 (GCCurrentAffairs) Slamming the Congress-led Opposition parties for instigating the protest on Citizenship Amendment Act, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said “It’s time to teach Delhi’s tukde-tukde gang a lesson.”
He also held the Opposition parties responsible for the violence that occurred during the anti-CAA protest over the past ten days in different parts of the country.
Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for ‘Integrated Development of East Delhi’ here, Mr Shah said “Citizenship Amendment Act was discussed in Parliament but nobody (the opposition leaders) said anything but once they were out they started misleading people”.
Attacking the Aam Aadmi Party and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the Home Minister further said he had promised that he would not take any car or bungalow.
Mr Shah criticised Mr Kejriwal, saying that the Delhi CM had promised he would not take a bungalow or a car and several other such facilities, but later he took them all. “His government has not completed 80 per cent of the welfare work that he promised in 2015,” Mr Shah said.
The Union Home Minister’s remarks were seen as the launch of election campaign of the BJP in the Capital where assembly polls are scheduled to be held early next year.
