With the concluding of the third round, Goa’s Ivana Furtado was ahead with 2.5 points and Riya Savant with 2 points in U-12 girls category at the Asian Youth Chess Championship 2011, currently underway at Subic FreePort in Olongapo city of Philippines.
Goa Chess Association Secretary Arvind Mhamal informed that Ivana Furtado beat Beisembayeva Bela of Kazakistan in the 1st round and drew with Omyrbekova Diana in the 2nd round. And in the 3rd round, she beat Pham Hoang Nhat Ani of Vietnam, he informed further. Riya Savant beat Myagmarbat Sarantuya Mangolia in 1st round with 2 points and Revita Samantha Glo of Philippines in the 2nd round. In the 3rd round, she lost to San Diega Marie Antoinette of Philippines.
