Kozhikode: A Judicial First Class Magistrate Court IV, which remanded CPI(M) leader and MLA T V Rajesh, representing Kaliasseri, DYFI National President Muhammed Riyaz and local party leader K K Dinesan to Judicial custody on Tuesday, has granted them bail on Wednesday.
The JFCM court sent the three to Judicical custody in connection with a case registered against them for taking a protest demonstration to the Office of Air India which had turned violent.
They are among the accused in a law & order breaking case in connection with a protest demonstration the DYFI took out to the office of Air India in 2009.
The accused were granted bail in the case earlier. However, they were remanded to judicial custody when they approached the JFCM Court IV yesterday to get their bail extended further.
Following the remand, the three leaders were put in a special sub jail last night.
T V Rajesh and Muhammed Riyaz were likely to contest the election to the State Assembly to be held in April.
