J&K bags 7 medals in National Wushu Championship Sadia Tariq bags gold.

Srinagar: The 19th Junior National Wushu Championship was held at Haryana. The players from Jammu and Kashmir performed very well and bagged 7 medals.

Sadia Tariq and Sana Basharat won Gold and Bronze respectively while Saleem Kumar and Abid Hameed won Silver each and Bronze was awarded to Ajmal Yousuf, Bishal Chib and Muhammad Shoaib.

Secretary District Wushu Association Srinagar Muhammad Maqsood Rather said that such a result has made everyone proud.

He congratulated to Wushu Association of J&K, J&K Sports Council, Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee), Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar for all the support they had showed towards the athletes of Jammu & Kashmir.

“I also want to congratulate the Coaches “Irfan Wani” “Rameez Ahmad” “Aijaz Hassan”for showing off this performance. We wish you luck to your future. Team manager was Ankit sharma while Abhishek Jamwal was as a coach with the team, who showed continuous support towards our players,” he said.

He said Rameez Ahmad was along with the team and were also Referee in the Nationals and later on they were also felicitated by the officials during the competition.
