In what can be termed as relief to Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Supremo Sharad Pawar has asked Jose Philip D’Souza and Nilkanth Halarnkar as ministers in the state government.
It may be recalled that two days back, the two ministers along with NCP State President Surendra Sirsat called on Sharad Pawar and the duo had submitted their resignations as ministers to him.
Both Jose Philip and Nilkanth were asked to resign a couple of months back as the party had taken strong exceptions to their hobnobbing with Congress MLAs and ministers.
Sharad Pawar’s decision asking them to continue as ministers is due to the fact that Goa legislative assembly’s budget session commences today.
For the next 15 days at least Micky Pacheco will continue to be in a state of limbo till Sharad Pawar takes a final call on the resignations after the assembly session is over.
