Yadgir, Karnataka, June 21 (GCCurrentAffairs) Chief minister H D Kumarswamy clarified here on Friday Janata Dal-S-Congress coalition government was stable and there was no question of a possibility of Karnataka witnessing a mid-term poll.
Addressing a press persons Kumarswamy said that his government would complete its remaining four year term and JD (S) supremo H D Devegowda ‘s statement was misquoted.
Mr Kumarswamy said that his father in his statement had asked the party workers to prepare for coming local body elections and not for a Mid-term poll in the state.
In a development that created ripples in political circles, JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Friday had said in Bangalore that mid-term polls for the State Assembly are imminent and that he is not sure how long the Congress-JD(S) coalition government would last.
Kumarswamy said that seat sharing adjustment on the time of Congress-JD (S) coalition government and the Lok Sabha results where JD(S) and Congress fared badly, was finished chapter. The Lok Sabha poll results will have no effect on the stability of the State government, he said .
