Seoul: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is “alive and well,” asserted Moon Chung-in, a foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in dispelling media speculations about the dictator’s health.
CNN on Sunday quoted Chung-in saying that Kim Jong Un is “alive and well” and is presently staying at Wonsan region, he added that South Korea has not observed any suspicious movements as of now.
Speculation regarding Kim’s health were rife in the media after the online South Korean portal Daily NK claimed that the leader was receiving treatment after undergoing a heart-related surgery. Certain sources even speculated that Kim had died.
Kim has not made a public appearance since April 12, he skipped several important events including the ceremony to commemorate the birthday of North Korea’s founder Kim Il Sung.
