Kovind is India’s President, Not Some ‘PFI’ hand chopping fanatic

Our nation needs to rid itself of traitors working under the guise of Freedom of Expression to unleash absolute nonsensical demands, the recent shocker coming from the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

An invitation to President Ramnath Kovind for the 65th annual convocation ceremony of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has ruffled some feathers amongst the student union, which has warned against the attendance of any member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the event.

The student union Secretary Mohammad Fahad has written to the AMU administration regarding the issue with inviting the President, and warned that “no ‘sanghi’ (RSS member) politician would be allowed to enter the university premises and the students would stage a protest” if this happens.

“We are not opposing the President, we oppose the ‘sanghi’ mindset. Our President had given a statement about Muslims and Christians in 2010, saying ‘Muslims and Christians are alien to this nation’.

So, I would like to remind him that the statement still stings the students of Aligarh MU, but we respect him as the President and welcome him, but at the same time, we also warn him that no ‘sanghi’ person accompanying him would be allowed inside the university premises. Those coming as per protocol can come,” student union Secretary Mohammad Fahad told media.

It is true that the President belongs to RSS, so does the Vice-President and the Prime Minister of the country; is AMU saying that because all these dignitaries of the highest-office in India are RSS members, they would not be allowed into the University campus. Is AMU in Pakistan or in Taliban square?

I suppose AMU is keen on dignitaries who belong to the hand-chopping fanatic group of PFI, or yet another Muslim-fanatic group who wants to ban ‘pampers’ now in India for claims of likeness of their prophets face on the pampers or numerous other splinter teams of large fundamentalist and fanatical Muslim groups to be dignitaries at the university convocation. Maybe they should try and invite Hafiz Sayeed. The world would be at awe is AMU did that.

Jokes aside, this is shocking and disturbing. The government at the state and Centre cannot allow such fanatical demands to be met; the person or organisation making these demands must be questioned and need be, arrested for such a statement and demand.

India cannot be breeding traitors from any community. We must stem this rot at its onset. It is this rot that continues to be the cause of continuous divide in our country.

Kovind is the President of India. Respect him!
