KRC Services Restored

Rail services on the Konkan Railway route were restored on Sunday after they were disrupted on Thursday when a retaining wall collapsed on the tracks at Nivasar in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
KRC’s Public Relations Officer Baban Ghatge informed that the services were restored by 8:30 am on Sunday after the tracks were cleared of all the debris on Saturday evening.

Traffic on the route was totally disrupted due to the mishap and KRC had to cancel many of its trains while some were diverted on other routes.
The newly constructed retaining wall had collapsed at around 4:05 am on Thursday following heavy rains in the Konkan area.
