Mysuru, Feb 21 (GCCurrentAffairs) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Friday alleged that Ms Amulya Leona, who raised pro-Pakistan slogans at Freedom Park in Bengaluru during an agitation meeting, had links with Naxalite.
He said that Ms Amulya’s links with Naxalites have been proved in an investigation. She must be punished and action will be taken against those who are provoking such youngsters”.
Speaking to newsmen at the Airport, he said that unless action is taken against those who provoke them to make such comments, it is not possible to control them.
He also suspected that the incident was a conspiracy to disturb peace and harmony in the state.
Minister B C Patil, who was also present said that such incidents should not repeat. “It appears that youths are misused for such anti-national activities and needs to identify such elements and punish them without wasting time.’
Meanwhile, the Fifth ASMM Judge Siran J Ansari has remanded Amulya Leona to 14 days judicial custody for shouting pro-Pakistan slogan at Freedom Park during a protest meeting.
Police, who arrested her produced before the Koramangala court last night. Later she has been taken to Central Jail at Parapana Agrahara.
Hindu outfit activists allegedly attacked her House in Shivapura village in Koppa Taluk in Shivamogga Distirct and damaged window glass. Police have been deployed in Shivapura village to provide security.
