Lingayat Swamiji says replacing Yediyurappa would invite ‘trouble’ within party

Raichur: The Veerashiva Lingayat Swamiji of Rambhapuri Peeta pontiff Renuka Veerasomeshwara Swamiji on Monday said Mr BS Yeddyurappa will continue as Chief Minister of Karnataka for the next two years and warned Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka that it will be in trouble if the party high command embarks on dethroning Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

Addressing mediapersons here on Monday, Pontiff Rambhapuri swamiji said the party had to suffer a lot as a similar attempt was made earlier also.

“There are talks in the party circles on the imminent change of the Chief Minister as he is 78-year-old. Yediyurappa is very enthusiastic at this age. He is making a sincere effort to solve the problems of
the people by touring the state even in flood and now in Corona times.

He has earned the confidence of all classes and communities. Even opposition parties know about the working style and effort of Yediyurappa,” he said .

Stating that Rambhapuri Peeta would not like to speak on politics, the seer said the BJP is in power both in state and at the Centre. “Yediyurappa has built the BJP from the grassroot level. The party high command will definitely allow the Chief Minister to complete the remaining term,” the pontiff said .

The senior Pontiff also said ‘ Mr Yeddyurappa is not only a leader of Lingayat community , but he is a mass leader and has earned confidence of all communities. He is a secular leader, that not only we but Suttur and Adichinchangiri Pontiff also supported ‘ , swamiji added .
