New Delhi: Due to the ongoing pandemic COVID-19, 336 more lives were lost during the past 24 hours to the virus spread across the nation, wherein maximum were recorded in the states, including Maharashtra, Delhi and West Bengal.
Of the total 336 deaths across India , 89 were from Maharashtra , 37 from Delhi and 32 from West Bengal.
Total death toll of the country due to the nCoV has now reached 1,47,092 so till date, the government data said, further adding that the Covid-19 death rate of the nation is maintaining at 1.45 per cent.
According to the Union Health Ministry, there was a spike of 23,068 new cases since Thursday, pushing the overall cases tally of the country past 1 crore 46 thousand, while 24,661 patients defeated the virus in the same duration, and the recovery rate improved to 95.77 per cent.
Active case load on the country also dropped by 1930 since yesterday as the number of recoveries were more than the new cases in the past 24 hours, and presently the country houses 2,81,919 active cases of COVID contagion.
