Maharashtra: No procession during Nath Shashthi Mahotsav due to rise in Covid cases

Aurangabad: In view of the increasing intensity of Corona, the district administration will not be allowed dindis (processions) to enter in the district on the occasion of Nath Shashthi at holy town of Paithan in month of April this year, said the District Collector in charge Dr Anant Gavhane.

Dr Gavane issued orders in this regards last night stated that, Nath Shashthi Mahotsav is celebrated on a large scale in the first week of April at Paithan.

On this occasion, pilgrims from various districts of Maharashtra set out to reach Paithan about a month in advance.

However, at present, the prevalence of Covid 19 is on the rise and the number of Covid patients is increasing day by day, he said.

However, Puja and other rituals will be celebrated in traditional way during the mahotsav,he added
