The Vasco railway police recovered the body of an unidentified male, estimated to be 45 years old, on the Shantinagar railway tracks on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, the victim had been walking on the tracks and heading towards Dabolim when he was hit by the Patna Express. He was wearing an orange shirt with white stripes and a grey pant at the time of his death. Police state that he died of severe head injuries. The body of the victim has now been preserved for a post-mortem.
As soon as the train banged him, he got sever injuries on his head and died on the spot. The Patna express had left the Vasco railway station at around 7:10 pm. The body is preserved for postmortem.
