Kolkata, Oct 30 (GCCurrentAffairs) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today said all help will be extended to the families of the five workers from Murshidabad district who were killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Describing the killings as “brutal”, Ms Banerjee expressed her shock and grief over the incident.
“We are shocked and deeply saddened at the brutal killings in Kashmir. Five workers from Murshidabad lost their lives. Words will not take away the grief of the families of the deceased,” the Chief Minister wrote on her Twitter handle.
She assured of all necessary help to the bereaved families, saying, “All help will be extended to the families in this tragic situation.”
The terrorists abducted six labourers, lined them up and opened fire, killing five –
Sheikh Mursaleen, Qamar-uddin, Mohammed Rafiq, Nizamuddin and Rafique-ul-Sheikh.
One labourer – Zahoor-ud-din – sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Srinagar Hospital, official sources said.
