Man held for growing marijuana in Vasco: PI Raposo

Goa Police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly growing a small patch of marijuana plants at an under construction building site near a Naval enclave in Vasco in South Goa.

According to Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo, the accused Samir Shaikh (27) was arrested and 26 plants being allegedly cultivated by him were seized.

“The plants, which were around five feet in height, have been uprooted and seized. We have also seized 428 gms of ganja from the accused, who has been arrested and booked under the relevant section of the NDPS act,” Mr Raposo said
