Mumbai: A military Jawan, Yash Digambar Deshmukh (21) was cremated with full military honors at Malran near the Pimpalgaon village in Chalisgaon tehsil of Jalgaon district on Saturday.
Thousand of people bid an emotional farewell to the mortal remains of Yash Digambar Deshmukh.
Earlier, his body was brought to his native place at Pimpalgaon this morning from the Deolali Artillery center Nashik.
He was martyred in a terrorist attack at Sharifabad near Srinagar.
He joined the Indian Army at Belgaum two and a half years ago. After completing his training there, he joined the Maratha Battalion (101 AT).
The Jalgaon district guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil, Agriculture Minister Dada Bhuse, MP Unmesh Patil, Mla Mangesh Chavan, government officers, military officers, police were present at the funeral.
