Masked protestors in JNU will be ‘unmasked soon’, says I & B Minister Javadekar

New Delhi, Jan 7 (GCCurrentAffairs) Two days after the unprecedented violence rocked JNU campus, Union Minister and BJP leader Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday said that the masked protestors will be ‘unmasked’ soon.
“Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered an inquiry; and the masked men involved in the JNU attack will be unmasked. Misunderstandings are deliberately being spread to incite violence,” Mr Javadekar told reporters here.
In a tweet, the Information and Broadcasting Minister slammed former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for his ‘Jinnah’ jibe on the BJP leadership.
“The Congress, which has been using the minorities as vote bank for decades, is now trying to divide the country on communal lines. Former Assam CM and Sr Congress leader Tarun Gogoi’s “Hindu Jinnah” comment is yet another blatant attempt of Congress party to create communal divide,” Mr Javadekar wrote.
The Congress veteran from north east Mr Gogoi had tweeted on Sunday saying – “BJP is trying to rule the country with an ideology akin to Jinnah’s two-nation theory, while Jinnah was for Muslims and BJP are for Hindus. CAA was aimed at giving citizenship to the Hindus but the Hindus of India have stood against it to guard the secular character of the country.”
The protest by ‘masked’ individuals on Sunday night at JNU campus has sparked off major row after a video went viral that showed JNU Students’ Union president Aishee Ghosh with masked men.
The students’ wing of the BJP – ABVP in its official Twitter handle also wrote: “As reported ….in the video, President of JNUSU and leader of the masked Left thugs Aishe Ghosh can be seen making appearance and leading the Red Goons”.
