If that is the case, why are you in the government? Withdraw the support. Don’t use blackmail tactics every time.

GOA: A minister in Manohar Parrikar led cabinet on Monday said that BJP’s ally MGP should walk out of the alliance, if they are not happy with the State government.
State Art and Culture Minister and Independent MLA Govind Gawade said that the MGP should stop blackmailing the State government and walk out of the coalition, if they are not happy.
He was reacting to the MGP’s action of announcing to field its candidate in Shiroda Assembly Constituency which is due for by-election in next couple of months.
“Why is that MGP always blackmails? If they are not happy with what is happening in the government or what BJP is doing, then they should withdraw the support and let the government fall,” Gawade told reporters.
MGP has already announced that their president Dipak Dhavalikar would be contesting from Shiroda Assembly Constituency.
Recalling that MGP had even filed a writ petition against two Congress MLAs who had quit the party to join BJP, Gawade said “MGP went to Court against BJP stating what they did was wrong.”
“If that is the case, why are you in the government? Withdraw the support. Don’t use blackmail tactics every time,” he added.
He conceded that in the coalition government, alliance partners will always have some “ups and downs”. “The need is to sit across the table and discuss the differences,” he said.
MGP is an alliance partner in Manohar Parrikar led cabinet along with Goa Forward Party and Independents.
