Talking tough, the Nationalist Congress Party not only took strong exception to its MLA Micky Pacheco’s recent comments on the party, but also termed him a liability not only for the party but for all Goans and Goa.
Briefing media persons after the party meeting on Friday, NCP spokesperson Trajan D’Mello dared Micky to resign from the party instead of merely making statements in the media criticizing the party. A resolution condemning his anti-party statements was also adopted at the meeting.
The NCP also blamed Micky for its poor performance at the Corporation of City of Panjim elections where not a single of its 11 candidates won. D’Mello said that though Micky was appointed chairman of the committee to oversee the elections in Panjim, he did not fulfill his responsibility at all.
