Former Tourism Minister, Micky Pacheco all but announced his decision to quit the Nationalist Congress Party to launch his own outfit in Goa. Speaking to media persons at his residence on Saturday he lashed out at not only the Congress but also his own party leadership thereby indicating that he had decided to quit his party.
“The Congress and NCP are the same liquid filled in different bottles,” he said and added that his party High Command had failed to resolve any issue raised by him. “The time has come for me to decide what is good for Goa,” he said.
Asked whether he would quit the NCP, he said he would decide when the time is ripe. “It would not be correct for me to resign now and force another election upon the people of Goa when the general elections are just round the corner,” he said.
