Finnish woman and French man who were reported by global media to have been missing in yacht of the coast India near Goa and under threat to their lives for aiding an escape bid of a woman claiming to be Sheikha Latifa – daughter of Dubai ruler – Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum have been located and the 41-year old Finnish woman is on her way home.
YLE News reports states that Detained in Dubai has confirmed that the Finnish girl has been located and is on her way home on an Emirates flight. Even the Finnish Foreign Ministry has confirmed that the woman has been found and has been in touch with her family. Detained in Dubai received their confirmation from the family of the Finnish woman.
Detained in Dubai has stated in the news report that both the Finnish and French nationals were released by UAE but the location of the girl claiming to Sheikh Mohammad Bin Al Rashid Maktoum’s daughter – Sheikha Latifa is unknown.
It must be recalled that GoaChronicle.com Founder & Editor-in-Chief had questioned the veracity of the claims of the girl in the video and even told David Haigh of Detained in Dubai that if the NGO can prove beyond reasonable doubt that the girl in the video is indeed Sheikha Latifa, it would support its campaign. However, till now, no such evidence has been provided to prove the girl in the video is Sheikha Latifa.
It must also be put on record that because of the GoaChronicle stand based on facts at hand contradicts claims made there has been incessant trolling on Facebook and Twitter questioning our journalism integrity and ethics.
