MP among others booked for forcing dep Commissioner, Labor to get sealed shops reopen

Aurangabad: Aurangabad Police registered a case against 24 people, including Aurangabad AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel, for allegedly forcing Deputy Commissioner of Labor to get shops sealed for violating lockdown norms, open.

According to Kranthi Chowk Police, some shops, which were ‘violating the lockdown rules’, were sealed during the restriction last month.

On Tuesday, Mr Jaleel, along with traders, went to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Labor and allegedly tried to put pressure on Deputy Commissioner of Labor Shailendra Pol to remove the seals.

On Mr Pol’s complaint, a case has been registered against Mr Jaleel and 24 others, police said.

However, since Tuesday, restrictions has been relaxed in the city in view of improvement in Covid situation.
