MPT Insensitive Act: Pay 5 lacs, Say ‘Child Not Suffering Too Much’

In a shocking statement, an official of the Mormugao Port Trust, which runs the school where a seven-year-old girl was raped in the toilet, has said “the child does not seem to be suffering too much.”

His comments have hurt the victim’s father who said, “I am angry and hurt by the administrator’s insensitive comment.”

GoaChronicle.com has corroborated this statement from both the parents’ side as well as a senior police source.

The rape victim’s father also said the “school was responsible for delays and lapses like washing the clothes of the child and thereby destroying evidence which he felt had damaged the case.”  He added, “Shocked my little girl was raped in the heart of her school. There was a major lapse by the headmistress who did not inform the cops.”

The rape survivor’s father also said that his daughter was unable to sleep for the first two days after the incident. “She is disturbed, was unable to sleep for the first two days.”
