MSSG Disappointed on CMs stand on ‘Special Status’

The ‘Movement for Special Status for Goa’ – a representative body of Goa fighting for the ‘Special Status’ cause are disappointed that the Chief Mininster Manohar Parrikar does not consider the cause to be in the government top priority list.

Antonio Lobo, covenor, MSSG said that to reportedly say that ‘special status’ for Goa is not a top priority is akin to saying that the CM is not realising the seriousness of the issue and we are very disappointed at this stand of the CM, who had in our previous meeting open to taking up the issue with the Centre. However, we are resolved to taking the matter to the people of Goa so that they can start acting.

Parrikar recently has told the media that at the moment the ‘special status’ issue is not a priority and can be taken over a period of time, right now the government’s focus is to make Goa a zero-corruption state.
