My aim is to defeat corruption: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Jan 21 (GCCurrentAffairs) Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said his sole objective in the Delhi Assembly elections is to defeat corruption and take Delhi forward.
Mr Kejriwal said this before filing the nomination papers from New Delhi Assembly seat today. He could not file the nomination on Monday due to delay in reaching the Election Office.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Kejriwal said,’On one hand – BJP, JD(U), LJP, JJP, Congress, RJD– On the other hand – school, hospital, water, electricity, free women travel, and public of Delhi. My aim is- to defeat corruption and take Delhi forward, while they all aim – to defeat me’.
Today is the last day of nomination for the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled to be held on February 8.
The BJP has nominated its Delhi unit Yuva Morcha chief Sunil Yadav and the Congress has fielded youth leader Romesh Sabharwal against Mr Kejriwal.
While the scrutiny will be held on January 22, withdrawals of candidature will be allowed till January 24.
The results of the polls will be declared on February 11.
