National, International Level Players to impart training to Young Players: Haryana Minister

Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sandeep Singh said on Monday that along with Sports Coaches, National and International level players will also impart training to the young players in the state.

He said that only the players of national and international level, who have qualified from the National Institute of Sports, will be appointed as coaches.

Singh further said that instead of constructing more stadiums in the state, the objective of the Government was to support the players by building more sports grounds.

He added, in order to inspire the young players to excel in sports and build confidence, the Khelo India Games competition is being organised in 2021 in Haryana. The Department has been making arrangements for it.
He said, since the formation of Haryana, it is for the first time that the state has got this opportunity to host such an important event.

The Coronavirus pandemic has globally affected everything, whether it is a playground or marketing and industrial sector. In order to spread awareness about the pandemic among the players, the Sports Minister has been virtually interacting with coaches and players across the state, Singh mentioned.

He said, Chief Minister Manohar Lal has envisioned to make youth clubs in every village, to encourage the youth to participate in social activities.
