National Press Day on 16th November

The National Press Day held on 16th November will be on the theme “Media and Corporate World: Challenges and Opportunities” with Swati Deshpande, Law Editor, Times of India, Mumbai delivering the key note address.
While Chief Minister Digambar Kamat will be the Chief Guest, Chief Secretary Sanjay Srivastava and Secretary Information Narendra Kumar will also be present for the function.
The National Press Day organized in Goa by the Department of Information and Publicity along with Goa Editors Guild and Goa Union of Journalists will be held at Kala Academy’s Black Box from 10 am onwards.

A panel discussion on issues concerning media in the print as well as electronic media.
16th November is observed as National Press Day every year to commemorate the inception of Press Council of India on that date in 1966.
