Navy should be shunted out of Goa: Goa Su-Raj Party

Goa Su-Raj Party’s general secretary Floriano Lobo had demanded that the Navy should be shunted out of Goa and said that the all Goa movement against Mopa airport and the Indian Navy continuing at Dabolim would not end till the Navy leaves the state.

He also demanded that the ‘very small defence enclave’ of the Indian Navy should be dismantled to make room for the setting up of the ‘Dr Jack de Sequeira International Airport’ at Dabolim.

“The Dabolim airport is Goa’s civilian airport, and the navy must prepare to move out immediately and hand over the airport to Goa’s civilian authorities,” said Lobo while addressing mediapersons on Wednesday. He also criticized the navy for occupying the Anjediva Island.
