Navy’s Dornier aircraft airlifts COVID-19 test kits from Pune to Goa

Panjim: Goa Naval Area continued to provide assistance to the Goa Government during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

According to a statement from the Navy, a Dornier Aircraft was launched from INS Hansa at Dabolim in South Goa to Pune at short notice on Monday to bring Dr Dilip Hinge from National Institute of Virology (NIV), along with COVID-19 test kits.

‘It is expected that Dr Hinge will provide training to the Microbiologists at Virology lab of Goa Medical College (GMC) with respect to the test facility,’ the statement added.
