Panjim: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) carried out raids at multiple locations in Goa and nabbed three people including two foreigners and one person who is linked to the drugs angle that emerged during the investigation into Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
NCB has also recovered huge quantities of drugs from the possession of the apprehended accused.
The raids were part of a joint operation conducted by the officials of Maharashtra and Goa units of the NCB. The joint team simultaneously carried out raids at multiple locations, including Anjuna, Miramar and Panjim in Goa.
Speaking to media Sameer Wankhede, Narcotics Control Bureau, said, “Three persons including one person who was providing drugs to Bollywood actor late Sushant Singh Rajput have been arrested by NCB in Goa.
The Mumbai unit of the NCB had recently filed a chargesheet in the drugs case related to the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The anti-narcotics agency, in the 12,000-page chargesheet, named 33 persons as accused, including Rajput’s live-in partner and actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. Eight of the 33 accused are still in judicial custody while the rest are out on bail.
