The Nationalists Congress Party has threatened to launch an even bigger agitation that the one witnessed on 25th May if the government does not implement reservation policy for tribals and OBCs within the next three months.
Besides, the NCP has also threatened to haul up the Goa government before the Supreme Court for contempt of court for its failure to follow the Supreme Court’s directives.
Speaking to media persons NCP President Surendra Sirsat said they had already taken up the matter with the government and added that if there was no positive response, they would take further action.
NCP has also demanded that farmers be provided some jobs as living on agriculture alone is no longer possible. Sirsat revealed that they have also demanded a white paper on the Tillari project where the government has spent around Rs. 600 crore and they wanted to know how many farmers have benefitted from it.
