New Delhi: National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma on Sunday said she will look into actor Payal Ghosh’s tweet complaining about alleged sexual assault by director Anurag Kashyap in 2014-15.
The NCW chief said she had asked the actor to file a detailed complaint for her to look to the matter and take up the issue with the police.
Sharma, in a WhatsApp video, said she got to know about the alleged assault after the actor tweeted about it. She shared the link of the process to file a complaint with the NCW and added that the organisation will look into the matter.
Payal on Saturday shared a video of her interview with a regional news channel, where she reportedly made the charge of the incident that occurred around 2014-15. She claimed that the director called had asked her to a room and then sought sexual favors from her.
Kashyap has brushed aside the allegations, terming them “baseless and lies” and an attempt to silence
