Panjim: The Congress in Goa on Wednesday said that the suggestion of Goa Forward Party (GFP) to National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to replace Tourism Minister Babu Azgaonkar with Ports Minister Mihael Lobo was clear example of NDA partners coming together to help each other to face the heat.
In a statement, Goa Congress Spokesperson Trajano D’Mello said,’The statement of the Working President of Goa Forward Party Kiran Kandolkar has let the cat out of the bag. During his visit to the Striking Drishti workers he has suggested to their senior partner in the NDA to replace Babu Azgaonkar with Michael Lobo as Tourisim Minister.’
‘Today it’s well-known that the BJP is facing the heat on all fronts, may it be coal, mining, Mahadei, double tracking and bankruptcy etc. The suggestion of the GFP to streamline administration is a clear example how the NDA partners come together to help each other to face the heat.
The GFP should stop fooling the people of Goa by saying that ‘All like minded parties should come together’,’ he said.
D’Mello, a former GFP spokesperson said it was clear that the coming elections in the state would be fought by the present NDA partners in alliance or with an understanding to disturb the Congress party and claimed that such understanding would not work as the people did not trust the GFP.
