NIA Slapped Vaze with UAPA charges

Whole nexus, web of lies, conspiracies is now unravelling. On 24th March it was stated that Vaze’s stay at hotel Trident was funded by a businessman who also paid him 13 lakh rupees. It is also revealed that a mystery woman from Gujarat stayed at a hotel with Vaze for 2 days. Later in a hearing in the afternoon, Thane court directed ATS to hand over the Mansukh Hiren death case to NIA, so that NIA handles both cases. NIA suspects vaze was the one who placed a threat letter in Scorpio on February 25. NIA slapped Vaze under harsh and much needed section 16(Punishment for act of terrorism) and section 18(Punishment for conspiracy) on UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act). Also, confession to police under police custody will be considered evidence. Under UAPA, bail will not be possible till conclusion of trial. Police also recovered a letter threatening Ambanis that this was just a ‘trailer’. Following day, it was revealed that the bomb-laden car belonged to Hiren, and ATS called him for interrogation. On 27th February, Ambanis received a threatening message on a telegram from Jaish ul Hind demanding money from Mukesh. On the same day, Mansukh Hiren was spotted at the commissioner’s office with Sachin Vaze in the white Land Cruiser Prado. This Land Cruiser Prado belonging to Vaze costs one crore rupees!

Hours later to this, Hiren was found dead, and police claimed he committed suicide by jumping into Kalwa creek, ignoring several handkerchiefs stuffed in his mouth, which pointed clearly towards a murder. Hiren’s wife alleged Vaze killed her husband and pointed towards the letter written by Hiren on 2nd March.

On 13th March, after interrogating Vaze for around 12 hours, NIA arrested him under Sections 286, 465, 473, 506(2), 120 B of the IPC, and 4(a)(b)(I) Explosive Substances Act 1908 for his alleged role and involvement in the Antilia Bomb scare case. During interrogation, the controversial cop admitted his involvement in the Antila Bomb Scare case and further stated that he is just the tip of the iceberg. NIA recovered the white Innova which was used to plant the explosives outside Antilia on 14th March. The NIA also stated that white Innova belonged to Mumbai’s Crime Intelligence Unit. Sachin Vaze was driving the car. The owner of the car is yet to be identified.” NIA also claimed Vaze did not steal but use Scorpio, and Vaze was the one who forced Hiren to file a false complaint about the car being stolen. Sachin Vaze also collected CCTV footage linked to the case and destroyed it.

On 17th March, when Vaze was asked for his cell phone, he replied he dropped it and the laptop seized from his office at Mumbai Police CIU had its data missing. NIA also stated that in CCTV footage near Antilia, the mysterious man walking is vaze, but he’s not wearing any PPE kit, rather he’s covering himself with oversized kurta-pajama and handkerchief over head to hide his identity. On 20th March, Former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh shot sharp accusations at Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister stating that Anil Deshmukh asked Sachin Vaze to collect Rs 100 crore every month. Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has thrashed away the allegations, accusing the former Mumbai Police Commissioner of hatching a conspiracy against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government to ‘save himself’.

On 21st March, two people were arrested in the Mansukh Hiren death case. A 31-year-old bookie named Naresh Dhare and constable Vinayak Shinde. Naresh Dhare brought five SIM cards and provided them to Vaze. At late night, 65 officers including Riyaz Qazi were transferred.

Who vaze was working for? Under whose instruction extortion was carried out? Whom did Vaze report to? Why was Mansukh Hiren killed? What was the motive behind such a nefarious nexus? A lot more will come out.
