Nigerians to be rounded-up and deported with no valid visa: CM

Taking a strong stand post the shocking incident that took place this afternoon in Porvorim wherein a mob of over 100 Nigerians blocked the NH-17 Highway and clashed with the local police, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar speaking to media said that a case of attempt to murder and blocking the highway to be filed against the Nigerians. So far 53 Nigerians have been detained.

He further stated that Nigerians in Goa will be rounded-up and their visa documents will be checked. If it is found that any Nigerian has been staying in Goa without a visa will be deported within seven-days from India.

A case is also to be registered against the locals for attacking the Nigerians in front of police.
