No Confidence motion against Modi government is defeated by 325-126 votes

The No Confidence motion against the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) brought up in the Lok Sabha has been defeated by 325 Noes and 126 Ayes votes.

A total of 451 members votes. There was no abstentions. The ruling NDA with 314 MPs, secure 11 extra votes.

Terming the no-trust vote against his government a result of the opposition’s “arrogance”, Modi had earlier called on all parties to dismiss the move and accused the Congress of working with the mindset of ‘Modi hatao’ (remove Modi).
