Chief Minister Digambar Kamat stated that he has not received any communication regarding the Nationalist Congress Party’s move to reinstate Micky Pacheco as a minister.
Speaking to Goa Chronicle after his return from the national capital, he said if at all there was any move to replace one of the NCP ministers with Micky, it was an internal matter of the NCP of which he was not aware.
He reiterated that his party leadership has not communicated anything to him about such a move.
“I think this is just an internal matter of the NCP and people should not give it much importance,” he said.
Meanwhile at the cabinet meeting held on Friday morning, though this issue was not discussed, some of the ministers are learnt to have told the Chief Minister that they will be forced to reigns from the cabinet if Micky Pacheco is re-inducted.
PWD Minister Churchill Alemao, Urban Development Minister Joaquim Alemao, Education Minister Babush Monserrate and Panchayat Minister Babu Azgaonkar who were present for the meeting on Wednesday in Margao have reportedly asked the Chief Minister to communicate their views to whoever comes with the suggestion to reinstate Micky in the cabinet.
