No license to Playboy!

The Goa government has rejected the Playboy Club proposal on the grounds that since the outlet is a private-shack, as per the new Goa Shack Policy no company can apply for license to run a food & beverage outlet. And in this case Playboy Club India had applied for the license as a company, though the private-shack is owned by the former Calangute MLA Agnelo Fernandes.

But even though the Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar has appeared to the dodge the opposition to the Playboy Club at this point of time. It appears to have kept an option open to the promoters to apply for the club license as an individual rather than a company.

Both the Chief Minister and Tourism Minister however dodged the issue of the private-shack becoming a Playboy Club which has even advertised on the website of this adult-entertainment group about its launch in Goa. Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, however did state, “I will not allow any concepts of vulgarity in Goa.”
