No objection if first Lokayukta Complaint put on hold: Aires
In a letter addressed to the Registrar of the Lokayukta, Adv. Aires Rodrigues has drawn his attention to the petition filed before the Bombay High Court at Goa challenging the legalitry of Sudershan Reddy’s
appointment as Lokayukta. The High Court while issuing notice to the Goa Government has directed that the reply be filed within two weeks while posting the matter for May 6th for the next hearing.
On 5th April Adv. Aires Rodrigues in his complaint filed under Section 11 of the Goa Lokayukta Act has accused Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar and Planning Board Deputy Chairman Dattaprasad Kholkar of having misused their office to high-handedly, illegally and fraudulently appoint one Diksha D. Pednekar as Peon in the office of the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Board. That is the only complaint received by the Goa Lokayukta since he assumed office on 5th April.
