No offline classes till guidelines from Centre: Goa CM

Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday informed the state assembly that the state government would not go for offline classes till there were guidelines from the central government and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in this regard.

He said there were no plans for allowing offline classes as a request had been sent to the Centre to reduce the gap between two doses of Covid vaccines for teachers and non-teaching staff to 30 days.

Currently there is a gap of 84 days between two doses of the vaccines given to people above the age of 18 years.

The Chief Minister also informed the House that the government had given permission to telecom companies to install at least 55-60 towers in the state.
